Who She Is...
Who She Is
Sweet little girl, so full of love
Waiting for someone to notice
That she exists that she is real
That she is of some importance
So painfully shy and awkward
Like a bull in a china shop
Wishing that she was someone else
Almost anyone that she’s not
Never perceived accurately
Never knowing self-confidence
Never feeling the security
That comes from basic acceptance
Why is her life so incomplete
Why must she face it everyday
She’s just a child, what can she do
Not knowing any other way
Why can’t she be just who she is
And not feel that something is wrong
Why is it so hard to understand
That she simply wants to belong
