Haunting Melodies

A voice of haunting beauty
comes to me from long ago
Bringing with it images
That can sooth my weary soul

It is not a song confined
To only one time or place
But travels without boundaries
Without a set form or face

Over valleys and through dales
Crossing mountains and clear streams
Traveling on rays of light
On the wind or eagle wings

Melodies so sweet and pure
It fills my heart with wonder
Singing of love’s promises
Of happiness and laughter

Of memories long forgotten
Interlocking space and mind
Bringing with it a new wisdom
From past to future life times
