Introspection...
Introspection
When I was young I thought that I
Was open minded to a fault
I did believe that every one
Was entitled to their own thoughts
I can’t remember who it was
That taught me to think this way
Or why it was that things were not
As clear as the words people say
With my words I expressed my view
On every thing under the sun
And found that Introspection was
a game best played by only one
On the journey to find myself
There was another thing I found
Within the heart our soul resides
’cause in the mind it would be bound
Oh how narrow-minded I was
To think that my mind was open
I believe that I did forget
“To be open, I also had to listen”
