Lost

I am angry, I am angry
I am as angry as can be
But at what am I so angry
Is such a mystery to me

I am tired, I am tired
I am so tired I cannot sleep
I know not why I am tired
But it’s enough to make me weep

I am lonely, oh so lonely
I am so lonely that I fear
Yet time keeps on moving forward
And fear gets stronger with each year

I am empty, oh so empty
In such a fragile empty shell
The emptiness does consume me
‘Til I feel that I am in hell

I am lost now, so very lost
Lost in a world of profound pain
With a thin thread as my anchor
Keeping me this side of insane

I am angry, I am angry
Staying angry so I can fight
Fanning that small spark inside me
Hoping that soon I’ll see a light
