Love's Song

In dreams come visit me my sweet love
And replace my fears with your love songs
Then in the meadow we two shall dance
To the rhythm of love ever strong

Play your melodies upon my heart
Let their sweet caress ease my hunger
As your harmonies work their magic
The gentle dance renews my laughter

Let's walk again by the riverside
And feel the cool mist of its' waters
Then find a stone we can sit upon
And speak of things time hasn't altered

We can lie upon the summer grass
Letting its' sweet scent fill our senses
While we dream our dreams of summers past
And this sweet love that bares no fences

I seldom hear your haunting songs now
Given that time sustains our distance
Still I'll await in this mortal time
Until death defeats life's resistance
