Oh Bitter Day

Oh Bitter Day
Oh Bitter Day
Oh bitter day suffice to say
I don’t deal well with betrayal
Nor catty talk behind my back
Along with all your denials
When fighting about the sexes
As you so often seem to do
I lean towards the female side
Agreeing most often with you
But when you’re being unreasonable
I will not say that you are right
I’ll not agree with your tactics
When you cut so deep, out of spite
You spout of your equality
Your ability to be fair
Then demand he do things your way
But the burdens you do not share
You just cannot belittle a man
About everything that he does
Putting him down at every turn
And expect him to think of what was
How can you think that to be love
As more and more you require
Controlling him is not the way
To achieve all you desire
You cannot sit and point your finger
At wrongs you think other’s have done
Thinking yourself to be perfect
Imagining some game you’ve won
Only time will tell who is right
And if this game really matters
Or if the love and trust you’ll lose
Is worth all you spew and blather
Oh bitter day what would you say
Had you met with this betrayal
Or catty talk that bodes no more
Then continuous denials…
