When the Fog Clears

You sit and calmly talk while my heart breaks
I smile as if I'm strong why can't you hear
The sound's so very loud it's deafening
Wonder who'll be standing when the fog clears

This problem has been with us many years
Yet I listen as if you're fooling me
We wander through each day like nothing's wrong
I pretend but you're not who you should be

Stop oh please stop this spinning me around
It matters not the words you want to say
Please just leave me alone with my pain
I understand you're not going to stay
 
You think I don't know when you've been with her
Though I've found her hair on your cloths at times
Still you seem to think I'll never know
You forget her scents' not the same as mine

Do you still see her face when your eyes close
When your hands touch my face do you see me
Do you know you have called me by her name
Tears came but I turned so you could not see

Stop oh please stop you're spinning me around
No you cannot mean the words you're saying
Please just leave me here alone with my pain
Of course I know you will not be staying

This is not the first time you have strayed
If I let it be it will not be the last
I'm not up to these games that people play
And my strength to hold on is fading fast

I simply cannot bare your deceptions
It's not love living here with all these lies
Surely with time my pain will fade away
The best thing to do now is say good-bye

Yes it will be me that stops this spinning
As now I am well past words of caring
Someday I'll get beyond the pain I feel
'Cause I know my love is meant for sharing
